Default stronger 5.0

I was talkin to my friend about how the 5.0 should be faster than the 4.6 and that it did not make sence, and he said they made a version of the 5.0 that was much more powerful than the original, is this true? And if so was it just a cobra engine or sumthing?

The only 5.0 I know of that is "much more powerful" than the original 5.0 is this one.

It's not in any production cars, but it's a killer concept. FYI, this should have been posted in the 5.0 section.

5.0= max 225 hp in production GT
4.6= (sohc) max 260 hp in production GT

why would the motor with less power be faster?

well I guess the car weights, the gearing, the aerodynamics etc. all might have something to do with the ultimate decision over which car, not engine, is faster and we do race cars not engines, so that's all I have to say.

Thats true too, but a fox with a stock 225 hp 5 spd 5.0 & full interior is never going to be faster than a 99+ stock 260 hp 5 spd 4.6 GT with full interior.
