Can you just unplug the small wire right where the seatbelt is at. Just a thought.

 

It's not for the seatbelt.

 

he would have to jumper the wires in the plug together to get it to shut off not just unplug it.... not a big deal a paper clip would do the job lol...

 

WTF??? whats it for then? if i unplug mine my seat belt light comes on... i might be thinking of a different plug or maybe it's just different on my car

 

i'm not sure on this one, but i think the seatbeat chime, and the door chime are one in the same. with this knowledge, you say as soon as you put the key in, its beeps. i'd do some testing with a test light. you might be in need of an ignition lock cylinder.

 

But does the beeping go away. I already tried unplugging/jumping route. No luck. Someone said once before it was for the airbag light. Don't know how true that is though.

 

if i unplug mine it dings and set the light... if i jump it then the light and the dinging stop... but if i leave it pluged in it works the way it should. i unpluged it one day to see what it was for (i'm curious about every little plug and wire lol) your air bag should only be controled my 2 sensors in the front bumper of the car. the 2 sensors send a signal to the air bad module in the dash and the module set off the air bag... no air bag wiring goes to the seat belt we just covered air bags in class thursday

that god amn beeping drives me crazy.......I just turn the radio up even louder that way I usually don't hear it!!!

my seat belt light turns on ONLY when i first start the car, for about maybe 10 secs then it goes away and does not return. the beeping is also at the beginning but it lasts for a good minute? im not sure i always put the radio up so i cant be sure. it then just comes back when it feels like it
