Remember every little bit adds up. Door panels and carpet could easily weight 15 lbs. Thats just 15 less lbs that you have to get moving.

I was saying the part about removing door panels and carpet being extreme. the K member is a good move.
About the avatar, well mine is the zombie from dayofthedead, so it's different. You can change yours if you want but don't tell me what to do please.. It's not like theres more than 1 person with a Mustang on their avatar.

all good suggestions so far ...my favourite way to save weight is aluminum heads ...you can also move the battery to the back, it doesn't actually remove the weight but it relocates it to a better place.

Actually, just the sound deadenor (sp?) in the trunk weighs about 15lbs. Thats the only thing I would remove though.

Carb It
Bucket Seats
etc.

There are many other things that you can remove like door panels, etc. but not worth the 5lbs IMO.

If this is a drag car then yeah I can see doing that, but for a street car? Damn, you couldtake all the body panels off and drive around in a frame if you wanted to really save some weight[8D]

Exactally... you have to stop at somepoint before you find yourself driving in a gutted 5.0 lol The things I posted are th only things I would do to a street car. The only part of the interior I would remove is the rear seats.... but even I wont do that because its not worth the 25lbs.
