Default TB MAF & Intake

My car is all stock except for gears, exhaust, clutch, and short throw shifter, but im thinkin about buyin a 70mm TB, bigger MAF, and RPM2 intake all togetheras my next mods. Will i feel a noticable SOTP difference? Yes i know a cam and set of heads will help, ill buy those eventually when i get money, but for now thats what im looking at.

If you dont mind losing horsepower and alot of torque until you get new heads andcam I say go for it.

That intake is way to big for stock heads and cam. Stock heads and cam make peak power at 4800 RPMs as where the RPM II makes peak power at around 6800-7000. You will have to get heads and a cam to match the RPM band of that intake.

If it were my motor Iwould go with a Trickflow Street-Heat. It might make less horsepower with your future heads and cam but it will be better for what you have now. Even though its a smaller intakes I garrenty it will make more power with the stock heads and cam over the RPM2.

You will see around a 15-20 RWHP increase with an intake, 70mm TB and 75mm+ MAF Meter on a stock motor. Now throw some heads and cam in and make 100 RWHP over stock.

I did the street heat too when I just had a few bolt ons and it made a pretty big difference. You could really feel it in pretty much every gear but first.

well if the powerband is where that guy said
then it is too much for you..unless you're getting the heads
and dont mind losing the power for now
do you know if that is the powerband for that intake?

Losing 'alot' of low end torque is major exageration with ANY long runner intake.
Losing low end torque is a real problem with short runner/box upper intakes, but not with long runner intakes.
Especially when the stock heads are still being used.

The advertised power bands for any cam, head, or intake is a rough estimate. Don't take those numbers as gospel.
Each combo will vary, depending on other parts being used.

In reality, you may notice a decrease in throttle response with an oversize Throttle Body, but that is the extent of the downsides.
Keep your TB to around 70mm and you will be just fine.

My opinion is to make purchases based on future goals. Purchasing the perfect intake for your current setup is a waste of money, IF your setup will change significantly in the near future.

Just my opinion though,
