rearend slack? need help

Default rearend slack? need help

i have got some major issues with knocking and poping in my rearend it sounds like the axle is twisting if i put it in 1st or 2nd and just let it idle along it will start to bounce back and forth really bad. anybody else had this prob i got some torque boxes to put in but dont think its gonna help after looking at the kit.

Upper control arm bushings may be shot if it's rocking side to side.... That would be the 1st place I'd look.

no its front to back and i put poly bush in the rearend housing and new boxed control arms with poly in them and that made it worse

So you replaced the uppers, too, or just the lowers?

both i bought dallas mustang upper and lower control arms and changed the bushings in the housing also all with poly

sounds like its pinion angle changing, with all new upper/lowers and bushings you shouldn't have any movement.

thats what is happening but does anyone know how to fix it. i was kinda thinking that the holes in the torque boxes for the control arm bolts may be wallered out has anyone had a prob such as that?

It's quite possible if the cars been beat on those factory torque boxes are only tack welded on the inside and easily bend...
