WERID IDLEING

My 86 mustang 5.0 is ideling very werid. Ok Ill start the car up then it well idel ok for a minute then it just revs up and stay at i say 2500 rpm. It won't go down don't matter what I do. I thought that my Throttle cable was stuck but its not. I also thought it was my TPS but thats brand new so I'm not sure wat it could be. can sum 1 help?

TPS sensor...if it is over 1v with key on it can definitely cause this problem. Set it to .97 or .98 and you should see a definite improvement
