So my problem is my t-5, sometimes after i drive and im at a stopsign i CANT put it into 1st gear, like not an every day thing but sometimes it just will NOT go into 1st like there is something blocking it but than when it goes in it goes in perfectly....Anyone know whats wrong?

learn to drive...j/k it's deffenetly a syncro problem, thats why i rebuilt mine, that and a few other problems... it's realy hard to hurt first gear unless you out haveing fun kinda like i did... pm for rebuild info

first gear is not synchronized in a t-5... put it into 2ng before you try to go into first... its a habit i picked up from my old probe.... the car WOULD NOT go into first unless i hit second before it

t-5's do have a 1st gear syncro adder... it's the same one as 2nd. trying to find a blow up picture of it for u

Not to be a dick, but im sick of hearing people bitch about T5s. They dont last forever.If you don't like them, buy an AOD or C4.

it could be melting/pinching it at different temps near the headers.

stock headers = no way... but aftermarket ones could make it happen... im sure if itsbeen areoccuring thing for awhile thenit wouldnt be the clutch cable but if its only been a few times it might just be pinching for now.. heating and cooling and pinching every now and then. Eventually it would weld together.

+1 on the learning to shift, i only had a problem with mine because i was being dumb one day and desided to but it in first at 30 to engine brake for a corner and power slide around it lol... only hurt the syncro no big deal 200$ and it was fixed..
