ok so my girl & I exchanged x-mas presents early.... she got me a new fuel tank, BBK 190lph pump, and sending unit. I was about to go outside and slap it in, but I realized that i might have pickup tube issues, if the baffle really has come loose. So i called Autozone. $165 for a new pickup tube. that seems REALLY freakin high to me. i dunno what to do. i don't have the cash to go get one, its special order anyway.... im so mad. i havn't actually verified that i need one, but this is my DD, and I would rather have everything at once, instead of having to drop the tank twice. so... anyone out there who has had their baffle come loose, please respond here. i need some insight on possible tube damage before i drop the tank, i got no other vehicles at the moment to go grab one.

Matt honestly dropping the tank is not a long involved job as I'm sure you know. Drop it down, have a look, if you don't need it continue on. If you do, slap it back together until you have the funds available.

I'm w/ you though, I like to do things once and only once but sometimes it can't be helped.

I hate doing things over and over again.. thats why i was so pissed when my fuel filler neck grommet let go a month before I ordered my nitrous and fuel pump....
