6cyld notch
ok so a few months ago i bought an extremely clean '89 notch. I live in Mich so it is pretty hard to find a not rotted body. Anyhow, it was a 6 cyl outta the factory and the dude that had it b4 me did a pretty shoddy V8 swap. I had to rip the whole thing apart, it's just a shell now, the biggest problem is the torque boxes got ripped off. Now i bought a fairly new 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears w/ 27k miles on them. I know there's a ton of ppl who know way more about body's and suspension than i do, that being said my question is this. About how much would it cost to have someone reweld and reinforce the torque boxes and install the new rear end? And what kind of suspension work should i look into doing?

RE: 6cyld notch
well, lets see here. I don't have the book I would liketo look this up in, in 3 mins of googling I found two answeres, that althoughthey gave different answeres they both said there was a v-6 fox body. I posted the answere I think is more correctfrom memory.
the 1979 had a 2.8L v6 option, that was replaced by a I6, and then in 1983-1986 had a 3.8L v6 as an option. So yeah, foxes could come with a V-6. So while his mustang did not come with a v-6, other did.

At least you took that well. Happens to me all the time. I tried to not flame you to much, I learned a while back to say "I think this is right....." on this place. To many people know to much on here, which is good in the long run I guess......
