Code 33 EVP
so i scanned for codes today, got the code i was expected. EVP not working correctly. my boss says that an improperly working EVP will not cause the shaking that i have, but Pro50 said something about fixing his shakes. My boss gave me a tip to try, he said to take the sensor out and shave off 1mm on the pintle, that will stop it from getting stuck. Any ideas? yay? nay?
Are you still running a stock exhaust?
When I first bought my car it had like.. NO power. Well i was running it hard one day and i got a CEL... EVP too high, and right side O2 sensor out of range... turned out to be a clogged cat!

A code 33 = EGR Valve Opening Not Detected (M,R) which means the EVP output is within range closed, the ECM is waiting for its output to increase as a sign the EGR valve is opening when the EVR solenoid is turned on by the ECM.....if the EVP output has no change...the ECM determines it's not opening and bypasses/deletes the EGR function.....until it tries again. Your problem is either a vacuum routing problem, a faulty EVR solenoid, or a broken EGR valve diaphragm.
Code 33 does not cause any driveability problems, it will make the EEC-IV system delete/bypass the EGR function on its own.....which is the same as having the EGR delete resistors kit installed; and the CEL should not illuminate due to code 33.
