EGR make car idle high?

EGR make car idle high?
i scanned for codes a couple nights ago and got a bad TPS sensor. i replaced it, car ran good after. couple days later i notice the throttle sticking on deceleration, and idling a bit high.
i scan again, i get a bad EGR reading. i clear codes, re-scan EGR again. nothing about TPS or anything.
i have my heater core blocked off right now too
i cleaned the IAC and made sure the new sensor was on tight. i broke a vaccum line goin to the top of the TB but i replaced that too, could that make it idle high?

RE: EGR make car idle high?
If you mean by idling high, that the idle doesn't drop fast while the car is moving (+6 mph)....that is normal "between shifts" idle strategy.....as soon as the car comes to a complete stop, idle should lower to normal. As long as no sealing problems are in the EGR valve, an EGR code will only cause the EGR function delete/bypass by the system, not affecting spark timing or A/F.

RE: EGR make car idle high?
in park it sits at around 1500 rpm's
in gear it wants to idle at 1200 rpm's, if i hold the brake it will drop to 1000
car used to idle perfect at 650rpm's all day.. why would it all of a sudden double?

Reset base idle with IAC disconnected to 600 rpms, shut engine and re-start, confirm 600 rpms setting, make sure TPS voltage is between .8vdc and 1.0vdc (.7vdc is also OK).....shut engine down, reconnect IAC, start engine and let it idle for 3-5 minutes. LUK(=Let Us Know)
