rag top ?
is so you better have someone that knows how too
if your replacing the roof skin that takes quite bit of time
not hard but will eat up a lot of time, you will have to have a mig to
weld it back on too , don't have the time or tools it would be best to take it to a good body shop to get it installed and be done

Here is a How-to on installing a new convertible top.
Step 1: Open phone book
Step 2: Locate a vinyl top installer, call and make an appointment.
Step 3: Drop off vehicle at installer, and ask when it will be done.
Step 4: Pay for services and bring car home...
Done!

RE: Advice changing a Top ?
I posted a link the other week in the Convertible tech forum with a link to 5.0Resto about how to change a ragtop. It is NOT a trivial operation. AdderMk2 has good advice. Only thing I'll add to it is to check with upholstery shops also.

RE: Advice changing a Top ?
It is incredible pain in the a$$ that takes some skill and install knowledge
HIGHLY recommend paying someone to do that particular job.
figure aeound $800 with new back glass for pro install.
if you have your heart set on doing it yourself.....
do a search, one of the zines does have a "how to" story for it
