Default problem solved!

as some of you know, i've had idle problems along with severe shaking... well, the shaking was the harmonic balancer. totally shot. the rubber was half gone, stickin out, rubbin on everything.... its smooth as silk now.. its amazing. feels like a new car.

the idle problem was the EGR valve position sensor. I took my boss's advice, and shaved 1mm off of the pintle, and voila, smooth, steady idle.

i also took care of the exhaust problem that developed yesterday. the right side of the h-pipe actually pulled itself right out of the flange that connects it to the catback, so i shoved it back on, tach welded a couple spots to make sure, and bolted it back up..

im so happy, the car has had a breath of new life. along with the tank install to cure the fuel starvation, this thing is pretty mean now WOOOOHOOOOO

also i forgot to mention, a while ago i started a thread concerning my 5spd, it was hard to get into second gear when your runnin hard, well guess what? it ain't anymore. i didn't think a new balancer would take care of it, but now i can slam 2nd without issues. its great.

i cant believe u even drove it with the balancer gasket worn. mine was shredded. happend right after i got done going 140mph on the highway. i cant even imagine if it had happend at that speed.

the car was fine but then it started shaking. not much just enough to notice. anyway i shut her down and restart i swear i thought every bolt was gunna fall out of the car. the thing was basicaly shaking itself down the street. i think it damaged my power steering rack too

Glad you got all your issues worked out. I've never heard of the pintle shaving thing. Please tell me more about it.
