you guys ever see the pro mods set up with a lever for each individual gear, wonder if thats like a manual shift body or a clutch system??? hmm

Nitro car dont even have trannys, they have a clutch pack that keeps pulling the engine down to the right rpm all the way down the track. Pro stock uses like a nascar style transmission i believe, you can you shift it up with out a clutch but not down. I didn't mean on that high of a level though. The Prostock class is perfect how it is, every race is dead even and tons of fun to watch. I am talkin about like pro 5.0 or the guys that go on the fun ford tour or whatever.

I know Nitro cars don't have trannys. I have played with the clutch packs before. When ppl say pro they think NHRA.........

For my fun car I definitely need a manual tranny, autos are boring to me when I want to have fun cruising.

On the other hand, if I was building an all out drag car, it would definitely be an auto.

thats a fact, my father in law runs a 90 gt on road courses and a auto would be tarded to run on one.

SSkiller, I agree with everything you said. I am a huge fan of the C4 tranny, however for basic fun street driving I prefer the 5 spd. Even though mines an AOD. [8D]
