i think i have the similar problem. its only from a dead stop to about a couple mph and you feel like the car is rubbing on something, right?

sounds to me like your pilot bearing is destroyed, caving in on itself

My car does the same thing, only in first from a stop. I havent figured it out yet either. Im guessing its my clutch too

lemme ask you, do you have any adjustable arms in the rear? actually now that i read a little deeper, it sounds like a very minor pinion angle problem.

arms in the rear are stock but what g2_5point0 said is the exact problem im having

My car does that only when I downshift into 1st with the clutch in only, which I rarely ever do, only on like sharp turns or something. It doesn't do it with the clutch out? Weird.But it has thatfaintgrindinsound to it almost like a skateboard bearing, andnot in any other gears. I can feel it in my shifter, and hear it in the boot.
