deleting a/c and smog safe???
is it safe to delete both the a/c and bypass the smog???i saw a pic and someone said something that the belt could rub and could snap the belt...is this true??? also i wanted to know if there is any difference when u bypass the smog w/ a smaller belt or buy a delete kit and keep the same belt?

there is the possibility of belt rubbing together underneath the tensioner pulley when you do this, but if you remove the tensioner completely, and purchase the manual tensioner assembly from ebay, you get a nice new shiny part for under-hood, and stop the rubbing

personally i think the best way to do it is to get an alternator bracket with adjusting rod from march, they're like 60$. then you can dump the AC, the smog pump, and the bulky bracket with the tensioner. this way the belt will never rub, it will look cleaner and remove alot of unecessary weight.

Is this a bracet just for the alt. ? So you dont have the huge empty bracket hangin down ? If so, i'd be very interested. Got any links ?
