loosen the stop screws away from the shifter shaft. Put the shifter into 3rd gear and turn the screw in until it touches the shifter shaft. tighten the jam nut and repeat this prceedure in 4th gear
i just went through this yesterday. it says exactly what adder said, exept when it touches the shifter, back it off slightly, like 10 thousanths of an inch.
