Default to build or not

my motor has 160,000 original miles. never been rebuilt.

it dosnt smoke or leak but it doesnt seem to have the power it used to. i can afford some heads right now (good heads like afr's and twisted wedges) but im not sure how much it would be to have a pro shop install them.

i have about $1800 to spend (same amount i spent on the car itself!!)

I would save up a little extra and do a h/c/i swap all at once. Go ahead and freshen up the lower end while you're at it.

Me, personally... I would look into a shortblock swap.

You can do a shortblock, gt-40 heads, new cam, and an aftermarket intake for roughly $1900

not looking to break 300rwhp. car will be daily driven.

sticking with the stock 302

i know im going to need about a grand more for a complete h/c/i setup

Like I said... shortblock, gt-40 heads, tfs1 cam or steeda #19 cam, and new intake and you can but down about 300rwhp with $1900 worth of parts
