Default catback exhaust...yes or no?

hey im getting ready to get an aftermarkter exaust on my 1992 5.0 vert, to replace the stock one it has currently. but i dunno if i should get a catback and then just add in a x or h pipe and some headers, or just buy the x/h pipe, headers, and some mufflers separatley. whats the advantage of getting a catback? can someone suggest a good option with the exhaust for around 500 or less.

you can do cat-back flowmasters for under 300 dollars (not including installation)

idk what the pricing is for headers back

if you want under 500, stick with midpipe & catback. bbk is a really good brand to buy your midpipe from. catback if you want to stay under 500, flowmaster american thunder from summit.

anyone know how much installtion might run? if i get some headers and a midpipe with the stock mufflers and pipes would it even be worth it? or should i get a catback to go along with the mid pipe and headers either way?

A complet exhaust is the way to go. If you are planning on more mod's in the future the stock catback will restrict flow.

he said under 500, that takes magnaflow and slp out of it, they're catbacks are like 400 alone. mac has a decent catback, doesnt sound bad, installation will run you about $60-100.
