i got a freind who has a 1970 LeMans with a pontiac 350 and four barrel carb, otherwise stock

and ive got an almost stock 89 Lx,

i have a feeling it tips towars his side, was wondering if the modern fuel injection would save me over the carbed up pontiac

weight alone would probably keep you more less even. change out to some 3:73's and you'll walk away.

Me too. It might be big and heavy but those cars are pretty quick. Stock the Pontiac should run about 14 seconds and the Mustang runs around 14.5-15.5 stock.

No way, that Pontiac is a 16 second car. You should beat up on him pretty good I think, you have a lighter car, better suspesion.
If that other car had a rating of 250 HP in 1970 it would only be about 210 at the rear wheels, if that using the modern HP rating system and I'll bet it about 3800# or more curb wieght with the driver.

if your car is fine and about where it was factory and his too weight inconsideration you should pull on him a car length or be even but he will pass u up eventually on top speed, but hes prolly not as fast 1/4m wise. go to the track and compare slips

dont under-estimate that car. thats like when i raced a lincoln mark 8. i seriously under-rated the car, of course i didnt know it had the 32 valve cobra motor in it either.
