RE: is it a gain in HP
30lb injectors can handle a lot. You should definitally get some HP gain but you could get a ton more by going with new heads. The stock 5.0 heads are REALLY. Just about anything is better than them. You can put all the upper and lower intake you want, you will get some hp, but putting new heads on will bring it to its full potential.

bigger injectors wont give you any more hp then you already have unless you are running over 300hp. the bigger injectors wont be used at full capacity unless you are making a ton of power

If your looking to pass smog then just get another stock intake as they are cheap. Then after you pass, put the intake and injecters on.
Leave what you have alone untill your in the clear with the smog dogs.
P.S. By the way,Unless your car has an adjustable fuel regulator and an upgraded fuel pump i wouldnt bother with your injecters just yet.If your car has mods that take you up in the 280hp and up with some rpm's then why go with 30 lb ?Do you plan on supercharging?
If i remember right,19# injecters will handle somewhere between 275 and 300hp(correct me if i'm wrong guy's,,MD? Roundman?)

i forgot to mention... my lower intake is cracked, so i have to change it regardless, and i dont want to put a stock one back on... i can get another stock one for free... but i would like to put a new one on and not have to buy it later down the road... but i gotta keep it smog legal, so i was thinking either getting the gt-40 (not sure if its smog legal) or getting the trick flow street heat... witch i think is smog legal... and i guess i'll just keep my injectors...... should i soak them in b12 chemtool? while there out? just to make sure there clean?

300 HP is about the right max number I've heard for the 19# injectors. and you better check www.airflow research.com and make sure the AFR 185 are smog legal, I don't think they are for some reason. They also have larger intake valves, like 2.02" which will require larger valve reliefs in the pistons. You might want to consider the smog legal AFR 165's with their 1.90" intake valves as they can make lots of HP too. And I agree with the other guys, you don't need to be changing injectors until you have the new heads and cam.
