Headlights/Fog lights Die Suddenly

Headlights/Fog lights Die Suddenly
Hey guys I have a real problem with my 87 mustang gt. My headlights and fog lights suddenly stopped working tonight. I checked all the fuses, even the ones not related to lighting and everything was good. All the bulbs were good as well. I still have my parking lights and tail lights. When I push the headlight switch all the way forward the parking lights still stay on. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Maybe the headlight switch?
Thanks,
Zach

sounds like the multifunction switch(turn signal/wipers). the high beam circuit kills the lowbeams and foglights when you activate the high beams.

yah its dead. probably caused by the faulty wiring all of our foxes suffer from. read up on the fog light fix, its in another thread up top tonight... it will solve the overheating issue that causes switch death.

So you think I might have burnt my headlight switch up as well or just wiring? I read the article and it said that there should be a thermal switch to prevent burning up wiring andthe headlight switch. My car has been sitting for 3 1/2 hours and they are still not working.

I have that same problem and have been driving in the night by holding my brights on the who time. Been doing that for about a year now... lol I'll fix it one of these days....
