Default h/c/i setup?

hey guys im thinking about throwing some gt40 iron heads with a gt40 intake on my car. any suggestions on which cam i should go with, and anything else ill need to upgrade or get to bolt this set up to my car? also if anyone knows about any good deals on some gt40 heads right now plx send me a msg. thanks

heads off late 90's explorer 5.0 are GT40. Also intake is GT40. Same thing.

go E303 or F303 cam. 512 lift is good. Also you should get roller rockers. make sure you get screw in studs because my buddy had press ins and pulled one out. and if you have the money get double valve springs. better RPM ups and downs reduces missing.

gt40 heads use pedestal mount rockers, so unless you have your heads drilled for a stud mount setup your stuck with peds. ford racing makes a set of 1.6's for about 300 bucks and cranecamsmakes a set of 1.7 cobras for about 200.

The TFS stage 1 is a really good cam for any of the Ford iron heads. It hasa higher lift and longer duration on the exhaust side, which is where production Ford heads (unported) tend to suffer.

Also, the GT40 and Exploder intake are not the same. The Cobra and Exploder are similar, but the GT40 intake is tubular and welded, not cast.
