what size tires?

i need to get two new tires for my 95. i have proxes4's right now, 255-40-17
i want to go a little wider in the rear. what is the widest i can go with the sn95 body and 97 cobra rims?

97 cobra rims... those are 17x9 right? you can easily fit a 275 even a little wider.

ok so 255/40's up front would be cool with 275/40 in the rear?

17x9's I wouldn't go any wider than 275, tirerack.com has a chart showing the max width tire for a given size rim, but it does not account for interference within the fenderwell, on your car I'm not sure what will happen beyond 275.... Addermk2 would know.
