I've got a custom built 3000 rpm stall from Edge and some motor mods. It drives fine on the street, it's very streetable. I'd send that TCI unit back and get one from Edge Racing Converters.

Definatly send it back and buy one from Edge. TCI is junk compared to Edge. You will be fine with a 3000 lock up. I daily drive a 4000 lock up and it's fine. I would put the converter in right away, it will help you, even without a bunch of other mods.

+1. and same goes with the gears. if you put a new converter and those 4.10s it will feel like a totaly different car. you will be amazed at the difference.

with a 5000 converter it should hook really nice.... it wont break the tires loose on anything under 5000 rpm

i think your origanal set up it good go with the 4.10's and 3000 stall. you'll like it. your car isnt making monster torque right now,so it wont stall that high.add some power to the engine and the 3000 stall will shine. make sure you use a big enough trans. cooler with any trans upgrades. heat is a trans biggest enemy.
