lifting front wheels
i got an 86 hatchback and im dropping a 351W in but im rebuilding it first but without suspension upgrade how many rwhp would u need to left the wheels off the ground with 3.73 gears and if so what part of the suspension would i have to modify
Yep. 15$ will get you a walmart floor jack and that will lift the front end maybe 3-4 inches without even trying really...
ORIGINAL: 92hatchLX
It can be done on the with the stock motor, just depends on your suspension and tires and what you're launching at. It's easier to just use the floor jack though.

Maybe its me, but I wouldn't "want" to lift the wheels, aerodynamics man. If your looking for track times and a good time slip to show off, hooking and going is better then lifting the front end up.
BUUTT, if your really looking to lift that nose up, I would do 4 cycl springs up front, stock gt springs in the rear, skinnys up front and a nice set of drag slicks in the rear and launch like no other....I'd pray to make it across the line with your axels still attached tho.
-edit- forgot to mention lose the sway bars.
