Default hoist the engine

im gonna rent an engine hoist to move my 351 and was j/w where do i connect the hoist on my engine without damage?

zip tie it to the manifold

put a bolt few bolts through a chain and bolt them into the motor

it doesnt really need to be perfectly balanced. you may need a hand on it while its coming out of the engine bay but it doesnt really need to be perfectly balanced.

just pulled my motor last night. used two head bolts. one in front and one in the back, each on opposites of the motor

the trick is...you want to get the chain atached as close to the block as possible...you do not want to leverage a long bolt and break it..if the bolt is too long use washers between the bolt head and the chain to force the chain closer to the block.

not as much of a problem if you strip the heads, and intake, accesories while the engine is in the car..I tend to pull the engine and tranny as one unit..

one of my recent pulls...be warned...its not a ford....

i wasnt pulling the engine i just bought a 351 and had it on the ground and need to put it in a truck and move it to my brothers house. i got it done i just used the factory lift thing on the block and a strap around it
