I actually thought it was more than 30lbs but even if it were 100lbs! It still wouldnt be worth it if the only reason you are doing it for is weight.

It wouldn't JUST be for weight, I plan to build/stroke a motor this year in prep for bigger numbers, and damn, 4.6l aluminum strokerblocks are as cheap as $800! not bad at all.
