If u have an extra distributor you could take the gear on it off put it in like you would normalytighten it down and just hook up the drill where the rotor goes on and spin it counter clockwise for like 20 or 30 seconds. If your not worried about messing it up you could just take the gear off the one your using and then put it back on

First u will need a 1/4 inch socket and a LONG extension. Use a small piece of tape to secure the socket to the extension so the socket doesn't get stuck on the oil pump drive shaft. Make sure u turn it counter clockwise. Good Luck.

the 1/4 inch socket fits down into where the distributor goes? and what does it fit over?, i take the distributor all the way out, use socket, extension and ratchet?

use the socket, extension, and an adapter for a cordless drill. you'll need to spin it counter clockwise for a good minute before you should stop.

I wouldnt do it that way. there is a chance that you could drop somthing into the motor. and it wont spin it fast enough. The only thing you have to do to get the gear off the distributor is pull out one pin. thats it. But its your car so that makes it your choice. just tryin to help.

using the drill will spin it fast enough. but personaly i wouldnt take the chance of the socket falling in.
