GEAR OIL T5

i have an 87 mustang. i was wondering what gear oil the tranny takes....what version of the T5 was put into the mustangs in 87?

Use Automatic transmission fluid in your T-5. All T-5's from 87 and up are considered World class . Its the beefier of the t-5's.Rated at305 ft/lbs torque.

o really i didnt know that....i herd of the world class but i thought it was only in certain models or something....you think royal purple ATF or what?

use B& M trick flow atf fluid. works great...

yeah i just wanted to make sure you could use ATF in the T5's. i got some already soo well see how that works....thanks for you input guys big help

correct the WC t-5 (86+) uses ATF, i prefer synthetic

You can get some stuff from a chevy dealer called GM Synchromesh which Tremec recomends for there trannys but it works great in the Borg Warner T-5 also.
