Default Fuel Issues... NEED HELP!!!

Ok so I have a 91 Mustang LX coupe 5.0 5 speed. I have the following motor mods. 24lb accel injectors, BBK adjustable FPR with gauge set at 35 psi, cobra intake, BBK WAI, BBK Short tube equal length headers, Edlebrock 70mm TB. All parts purchased brand new. The motor ran fine with the stock MAF sensor on the 24lb injectors. I just bought a C&L 76mm MAF sensor with the blue sample tube (24 lbs) and hooked it up and it ran like crap. It wont rev past 3500 rpm unless you pedal it and it constantly backfires.I reset the computer, (left it unhooked COMPLETLY for a day along with the battery) andtoday I reconnectedit, it took about 5 minutes for it to relearn to idle and it still ran like ****. The computer isa reman unit but that shouldnt matter right? It is not chipped from what I can tell. (nothing between the harness and the ECU and nothing on the other end where the circuit board is exposed) Are you supposed to change the timing of the engine with bigger injectors? What PSI should my FPR be set at? do I need a bigger pump? Why did it run so well with the stock MAF and now so horrible? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Well, my experiance with C & L meters is they hate air leaks, even the smallest ones. I had the same problem on my 89' GT (i installed the elbow with it though) and it was doing the same exact thing you are explaining. I would take it back apart and refit everything, than try again. Ihad to do this 3 or 4 times before it finally ran correctly.

Your f/p sounds ok, i run 36 psi right now, i take it the MAF is calibrated for the 24s? Maybe its too big of meter and theres not enough airflow everwherein the engine, i dont know but if u said it ran fine before id think that its the MAF, dont know tho

yes it is a 24 lb maf. It has the blue sample tube in it. I Cant for the life of me figure this out. could it possibly be that there is too much fuel? what about timing is that supposed to be changed too?
