Default Orig Header Question

Okay so the next thing I'm looking to do is headers and xpipe for the stang. Ive read on here everyones opinion on their favorite brands (feel free to rant again) But does anyone know the size of the stock headers. Someone earlier said that stock was 2.5 which is usually what you find in aftermarkets which would mean, other than for temperature purposes, aftermarkets really wouldn't be worth it.

sorry if im not right but i think 1 5/8 not for certain, or are u talking about the flange, then your probably right 2.5, the stock headers seem kinda restrictive compared to lets say equals lengths, I run BBK equals, love em

Its worth it, put some stock ones next to some aftermarket ones and you will be suprised. For $170 for BBK equal length shorties, buy them.

The stock headers arent 1 5/8" theyre like 1 1/2" if that. I run Mac unequal lengths 1 5/8", the primaries are way bigger than stock.

stock headers are pinched where they meet the head meaning they dont even flow the size they appear to look.

this is how ford got away with low emission ratings. a full exhaust on a stang is known to open up anywhere from 10-20rwhp

I have flowtech headers and so far I have had no problems and no complaints other than header bolts (which is with any set of headers)
