E303 here. but (if it is still stock) my advise to you is to invest in a good set of gears, traction source ie control arms frame connectors and tires. It is easy to believe a 1/4 mile time willget slowerby swapping out the cam and modding your car with bolt ons. ** simply because you may spin now but when start bolting on power it will only gets worse. your 60ft times WILL suffer. get your car dialed in first make it HOOK! then bolt on one piece at a time so you know you are getting the maximum performance out of each add-on I have seen many times people mod the hell out of the car and run SLOWER the before. Dont put the cart in front of the horse.

I don't think that the "cobra" cam is any different than a stock HO cam, the only difference is that the 1.7:1 rr give it more lift. I think one of the 94-95 guys on here says that there is a cam that is compatable with the 94-95 computer, I think it's the Steeda #19 cam. Do your gears first (at the least 3.90s, I'd go with 4.10s if I were you though) and then get a custom built stall from http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/. That'll knock off a good amount of time on your ET if you've got a pair of slicks (or DOT slicks)tohook it up.

You can use any cam for 94-95 you just have to get it tuned...

Thanks for the help guys, All the information is good to have. The only mods i put on it are ceramic headers, x-pipe, and mufflers. The car hooks up pretty good now cause I have a good set of tires that i bought which are the Nitto NT-555R. They are Dot approved but im sure they will start slipping when i get more mods. I want some 3.90 gears but i think thats to much for freeway driving.

What brand is ur cam?
My old '98 had a hydroboost. I'm assuming that the '95 did not have that yet, but could you swap to a hydroboost?

My 95 doesnt have it, they started putting hdryoboost on in 1996 for mustangs. I bet that i could put it on mine but i dont really know enough about it. I think that u have to put a new power steering setup if i converted to that....but im not sure. ill look into it though

My advice is, get the biggest cam you can tolerate. The bigger you go, the more work it will require. Whether it be tuning, moding', or repairing.

Cobras do have a different cam than the GTs, plus the 1.7RRs

Steeda #19 cam here, not installed yet though...

I thought they had a different cam. I dunno about the 1.7's though. Some were sayin' putting 1.7's on a GT would give it close to the same specs as the Cobras cam. Plus, doesnt the GT and Cobra use the same valve covers? Didnt think you could fit 1.7's under the stock valve covers.
