id like to see ford produce another 302 built like the double overhead cams in the 4.6, basically re-up the displacement with the new tech and put it in the new mustangs

they have a 5.0 cammer but i dont think they put it into any cars

^^ No, that didnt come in any production cars. Everyone has different opinions/styles/etc. I think 5.0's look/sound better than 4.6's. Someone might think differently.

I have two 5.0's...its the way to go, but my grey (auto) cant be a 4.6 (stick), but I'm thinkin my red one can just cause its a stick

u have to understand... 96-98 they did put out 225<or something like that. 99+ they changed heads "PI" heads... they make 250 or so, not exactly sure, but around there.

and ford is bringing back the 5.0, im prty sure some new stangs are gonna have the new 5.0 in them. some kinda special edition ones.<its in 5.0 or MM&FF.

the 5.0 makes better tq then the 4.6.

stock for stock a foxbody, or sn95 will beat a 96-98 4.6, but not a 99+.

personally, tho its older technology, i like pushrod motors better, just my opinion tho. there simpler, and easy to work on. never took apart an ohc v8 yet, so idk bout them, seems like there is a good bit more work involved in them.

It's a non PI. You have 215hp and 285lbs of torquestockhehas 225hp and 300lbsstock plus he's lighter. The PI 4.6's are a better engine then the 5.0's they can rev up higher, they can hold more horsepower and even keep a cooler temperature. the new 3v are an even better engine.

There is more than 1 version of the 4.6. Neither the book nor ur friend was wrong. In 96-98 was a 2v 4.6 and made 215hp. The 96-01 Cobra's were 4v 4.6 and made 305. The 99-04 was a 2v 4.6 made 260. A 5.0 will beat a 96-98 4.6(non-cobra) and lose to a 99+ or Cobra 4.6.
