the 460 with ALUMINUM HEADS would not be too much heavier than a 5.o with iron heads, if you are worried about weight. you could stroke that 460 for some big numbers. i have seen 2 street foxes with 460 , the sound is awesome, nothing sounds like a ford big block.
i dont think heads weigh 200 lbs their bud.[/blockquote]

what about the size issue. I hear they will drop in. if they did i would think there would be a whole lot more people doing them. doesn't cost much more than a 347 if it did. shiiiii.... i don't care how much it weighs...just think about the burnouts...

i did not say the heads weigh 200 lbs.besides if he is worried about the extra weight there is other things he could do[relocating battery to rear for instance, etc]. i was just adding the aluminum head bit because it does help & no one had told him.

Plan on breaking sh*t with a big block in it. Cuz if it has very much work done to it, the torque is gonna tear your car apart.

Im with kev on this one with a well built 460 and add a 250 shot as said above and ur car would be a twisted crushed up can. I dont think sub frames would even help u with this that body would twist and bend like a 5$ *****. Major body and sup wrk would have to be done before this car in my opp would be safe to drive (and sure as hell not drag). But thats my opp so plz dont bash!

To give you an idea of the weight. The 6.8L v10 2 valve with alluminum heads weighs real close to a stock 460
