Hey guys..I just had a local well known mustang shop swap out my aod for a new world class t5z, king cobra clutch, flywheel, etc. When leaving, The shop mechanic informed me that the transmission would shift rough and run tight for the first couple ofhundred miles, or until the gears meshed together.My question is...I drove the car back and forth to orlando (300miles) right after having the swap done, and while theshifter has loosened up...Istill have a rough vibration in all gears after about 3 grand. Is this normal? At about 80 mph the car starts to vibrate significantly enough that i can feel it in the car seat. I havent spoke to the shop about this yet but I do have to return to them at 500 miles to have the trans fluid drained and a additive put in. I have had 2, 5 speed stangs before and only felt this type of vibration when i was well over 100 miles an hour. Please help!!!!

did they remember the trans mounts? lol jk

put it in neutral and rev it to 3k if it doesnt do it then u can eliminate the drive train

i would call the shop and tell them about this, also how much was it to do the swap

That will eliminate the motor. The drivetrain would only affect it at speed.

I had that problem w/ my Zspec [got it used]. Turned out to be the u-joints I put in the driveshaft. Cheap Autozone Ujoints......

mighta not put the d-shaft on how it came off... if its not right, thatll cause vibration

yeah im like half awake i meant motor heh

anyway like said above i would just call the shop even bring one of the guys in the car with you so he can feel it

hey guys i just went and reved it out to about 4 grand with it in neutral and it does vibrate..so what does that mean?? bad mounts??

It is a Mustang dont they all have some vibration? Anyway how bad are you talking about, is it like something is majorly wrong or is it just a lil vibration, like said above about the driveshaft, very good point

I dont know if its major or not...it didnt vibrate like that when i had the automatic in it, so why now? Its enough so if i rev the motor in neutral i can feel it vibrate the stick enough to move my hand around
