Default 351 in a sn 95???

I know I know its been repeated over and over and over... I've read how to put a 351 in a fox, but what about a 94 gt 5 spd conv. I want to keep my a/c and p/s. What intake would fit under the stock hood and strut brace? i want to buy a used 351 from maybe a crown vic or something any suggestions on what hci i can use its going to be a daily driver ...but I dont mind the misfire like running of the engine resulting from the cam. Let me know fellas ........

there is no way to get a 351w to fit under a stock hood in a SN-95...throw the strut brace away.... its not doing you any good.

and as far as putting it in goes... same stuff applies for the SN-95 as it goes for the fox

There are a couple of strut braces that are supposed to clear the 351w. Maximum Motorsports is supposed to have one. Can't think of any others right now though.

Adder- How can you say a strut brace isn't doing any good, especially in a vert?

As for the intake,
The only exciting news here is the adapter plate now available from BC Broncos. This adapter will allow you to bolt your 5.0 upper intake to the 351w truck lower intake. I have a link in my writeup.
I am not sure how this setup would affect hood clearance.
Here is the link...
As of December of '06 there is a new product available for adapting a truck 351w EFI lower intake, to a Fox Mustang Upper intake. The adapter can be found through B.C. Broncos at http://www.bcbroncos.com/store/. Here is a link directly to the adapter http://bcbroncos.com/store/product_i...446ddda9faf1de.

I am not sure how this would affect hood clearance on the sn95 (or even on the Fox for that matter).

The sn95 computer will probably not handle the extra displacement as well as the A9* computers, but should do ok until the cam gets wild. It sounds like a wild cam is in your future, so plan on getting it tuned or investing in a personal tuner (tweecer, pms, moates, etc.)

I have not had much feedback from the sn95 guys, but would love to hear some differences on doing the swap in these cars.

Its not that they arent any good... but they make a minimal difference that should not hinder one from installing a 351w....

besides... if a FSTB was so damn good... why didnt 6,009 cobra built in 1994 come equipped with one?

Im just weighing my options right now, puting a bigger hood is going to cost more and whatever i can save and put in the engine the better I guess.
