I've had this happen twice. I dont like the way hood pins look but I might have to get some before my car goes back on the road. I wish there was an alternative to hood pins.

the guy who owned my car before me had the hood fly up 6 times. 3 of the times in the same day, his dumbass just would put it back down but the latch didnt work right. so the cowl was all smashed up much worse than yours and the roof also has two big dents right above the windshield from when he had a fiberglass hood fly up which also broke the windshield.. the fiberglass one did the most damage. tomorrow ill be using fiberglasst and bondo to fill in the dents from the cowl so hopefully it turns out good.

i use the latch that you release from under the dash and hood pins so no one can get in

i have had the same thing happen although not as deep of a dent. i can't fit a hammer or anything inside to bang out the dent and i have tried one of those stupid dent pullers with the glue on them and they are not strong enough to pull it.

so could someone please tell me a good method for pulling this out, it doesn't have to look pretty but just enough to get my wipers aligned with the window again.
