IIRC, you have to take the console off. Once you get the back bolts/armrest out, you'll need to remove the screws in side the glove box and then remove the panel under the steering wheel to get at the others. Once the console is out, you should be able to get at everything pretty easily.
are we talking about a manual or auto??? i just took my shift boot and seal off and then took out the 4 bolts and it cam out.... obviously it's a manual, and i don't drive a fox... but i wouldn't think that it could be much different
never tryed it on a fox just an SN..... try taking the tranny cross member off and letting the tranny sag a little maybe that'll give you a little more room... just remeber to support the tranny's weight with a jack
i took my stock shifter off on my lunch break at school and put my steeda in. i didnt have to take my council out, or anything, just took the 4 bolts out, took it out, put the new shifter on, and was set to go.
well, its that inner boot that i'm having problems with. the two forward screws are too long to get out without removing the console, as i figured out today. dang this sucks.
