Default 96 rear end

i gotta friend who has a 88 gt and he put a 96gt rear end in his car... he said it is a little bit longer than the stock 88 so he was able to put wider tires on it... i seen it and it also makes it look better.. everything seems to bolt up perfectly to... i was thinking about doing this at some point... has anyone ever done anything like this?

that is the first time i have ever heard of somebody putting a late model rear end in a fox body mustang so i have no idea it would work but they are pretty much the same exact design[sm=interesting.gif]

yea its just a bit longer, so your rear tires stick out more.. i thought it was kinda cool... he was able to fit some really wide tires on the back
