I would go w/ a Crane coil instead. MSD's have a habbit of being noisey and buzzing. You won't really notice any benifit from it right now by itself. It's a start to building a good ingnition system though.

I have always thought this was a matter of personal preference, I happily used MSD products for years. I went with Crane on the last two engines and really saw what I had been missing. They are very user friendly, for the most part all in one or at least most-in-one, and the systems are very straight-forward and easy to understand. I got introduced to how well they worked originally by using the crane system on one of my Harley Davidsons. Then began to think where there was smoke there was fire(ball) lol. So I shot MSD in the head and went the was of Crane.

dont mean to hijack the thread but i was told i need a new coil.
my engine is pretty much stock so i would like to buy the best coil for a stock engine but i would also like to get one that would be good enough for a better ignition system in the future.

out of the crane and mallory products, what would be good for a 90 gt? thanks
