I have a 94 Stang with the 5.0 and whenever i give it and bring the rpms up to 4500 rpms the motor acts like it hits a brickwall. It climbs all the way up there normal and if you shift before 4500 it is fine but if you bring it past 4500 it just doesnt go. Anyone know what could be wrong with my car thanks guys.

It doesnt do anything but making noices like the fuel is being cut kinda. But if it was the timing wouldnt it effect the idle and bring it up to 4500 other than bring it up past 4500 it runs fine. But i will have the timing checked out soon

 

Maybe starving for fuel. How old is the filter. How many miles on the car?

 

vacuum leak maybe mixed with timing

 

The car has over 100k on it but the motor only has on about 5k so it is a new motor.

5k on a motor and it wont pull past 4500?

do they even make the same 87-95 5.0 HO anymore? im not talking about the new boss 302 either
