electric fan set up??

RE: electric fan set up??
I bought the proform fan from Jeg's for $100... but I'm gonna tell you this:
Do it right the first time. You'll be happier with a black magic fan with multiple fan speeds. That $220 one looks killer (can't remember the name).
Also, don't forget to upgrade your alternator to a 3rd Generation ford alternator... it's basically a direct bolt on, just grind down a tiny part of the bracket and do 2 minutes worth of wiring. Don't forget to buy a new (2ga) power cable though, don't run it off the stock one or you could start a fire.

RE: electric fan set up??
I got mine for $15. Used the ccrm from the taurus as a relay and a thermostat that you "stick" into the radiator fins, from vatozone $17, to control it. As stated you really need a 3g alt for this though. When doing a 3g install the power wire for the alt on a 96 taurus is just about the perfect length to reach all the way around to the start solenoid when you have a mega fused intalled. I can find some pix if you want.
