Default afr 185cc

canI run afr 185 cc heads with trick flow stage 1 cam. with 1.7 rr. or is that pushing it piston to valve clearance. or can the stock cam be used with afr 185 and 1.7 rr. The reason i ask is I have 3500 dollars to spend and I am going to get built c4 3000 stall and h/c/i. need a good set up for 75 shot nitrous. till I build the 331 TTdart.

is this for ur stock 302 block for now

cause if it is then 185 is way too big if you dont put a lot of boost too it, the 165 is the way to go they actually out flow the 185s on a sbf 302, and the 1.7 rr and tfs 1 cam should be good as far as ptv clearance, or if u just go with a tfs stage 2 cam then u will be better off with 1.6 rr but the setup was good except for the heads

i wanted the 185 because I would just swap them over to the 331 when I have money to build it. so the 165cc should be good with stage 1 trick flow cam or stage. I guess I coud get a comp nitrous cam with the 165cc and 1.7rr. still dont know what intake?

165cc AFR's will fit ANY 5.0 block what does not have flat-top pistons

but your cam will become a factor since its probably gonna be larger than stock

165cc with stage 1 tf cam should be ok with 1.7rr. but is that cam good for a 75 dry shot. Its almost the same as the comp nitrous but just a tad smaller.

the TFS1 cam will be fine, but I will always recommend a custom cam
