hey guys is there any effect good or bad if the egr line isnt hooked up? just wonderin cuz mine is broken

mine just broke in half a couple day agorightwere the tube comes out of the valve it sucks. no for ddealership in the nation carriestube i needanymore.
anyways all i noticed was that it makes a weird noiseand i get exhaust fumes in my car when i have my heat on.
