Default Need some quick help

Hey guys I have a weird problem thats starting to **** me off. My car will NOT idle or run correctly with the battery connected. I know it doesnt make any sense but it will start and idle like CRAP as soon as I disconnect the battery negative terminal the idle come right up and computer goes into closed loop like it should. I tested voltage from the alternator with it disconnected and connected to the battery and its putting out good voltage both ways. Im confused and im starting to spend way to much money on this I installed a vortech s trim if anyone remember. Ive gone through everything and just cant figure out what is going on with this.

As an update I disconnected the negative terminal again and put a testlight from the negtive cable to the negative terminal and i got a dim light(Car off), I then disconnected the mass air sensor and the light went out so of course they seem to be directly related. Im starting to thing taht the wiring that was done on the mass air conversion may be f***d up. Any help is appreciated.

I think the connection on the MAF can get messed up pretty easily. Maybe the connectors are fouled up or the connection is bad. You might want to check your IAC as well.

I just installed it today brand new pmas 88 mm :[, this problem was happening with c&l and this is why I bought the pmas hoping the issue was with the maf sensor but no luck I cant figure how it would run fine on the alternator only?!?!?! I unplugged the maf with it idling and my o2 meter went way rich and when I plugged it back in it came back down the nto closed loop so I think it all functioning but something is shorting out I guess?!?!?

Well if anyone cares ITS FIXED!!! FINALLY, all along my problem was with the main harness to the computer had a dirty corroded pin, cleaned it all up and now everything is running correctly. This was a strange problem for me to figure out but DAMN finally. Oh and the driveability with the pro-m mass air meter I got is awesome!
