Iron GT40 heads are fine. They will help a great deal and that makes a huge difference in your HP / performance. You may wanna mention those as a mod in the future, lol.

You already have the heads and intake, and a so-so camshaft... why not just save up and run a supercharger or nitrous? Nitrous is the cheapest route and you can get that for $400+ new. You can get a supercharger for just over $2.5k as well. It's a bit more, but it's well worth it.

Also, do forget the suspension and supporting mods. The HP is useless if you can't get it to the road.

ya right now i have eibach lowering springs and my car handles like a race car instead of a drag car (like a dream) it has to be the smoothest ride in a fox that ive ever rode in...also i have 1789 bullit wheels wrapped in cooper tires and so it stickes pretty well and right now the list goes gas tank, fuel pump, sending unit(i have a broken baffle that acts up when i hit below a half tank), gears, x, tubular a arms, tubular upper and lower rear control arms, and probably a bigger mac because mine looks stock...also i want to eliminate my smog pump....but i was looking into nitrous but no supercharger ha im in my second year of college and have about 3 more to go so i wont have anywhere near that type of money.......last question what would you say would be the best for my timing retard or advance and how much ?

That's about how much I get out of my car. I can get 250 miles per tank if I stay out of the pedal.

Most people will say that you can safely advance your timing from 10 degrees (stock) to about 14 degrees with no problems. You can expect to gain about 2 HP per degree that you advance it, up to a certain point. You will also feel a slightly better throttle response, etc.

But depending on your setup, you may be able to advance it even further. There's a post in the tech section about how to safely do it. To sum it up in a nutshell, just keep advancing it one degree at a time until you hear WOT pinging. Then back it up by one degree. (Don't forget about the spout connector when doing all of this.) You could most likely squeeze 16 - 18 degrees out of premium gas if you've got a decent setup going.

Of course, you'll have to retard it some with nitrous, turbo, S/C, etc.

I was getting less than 200 miles to a tank before swapping from 2.73 gears to 4.10's.
Now my speedometer/odometer is slightly off so its no longer accurate.
