5.0 engines use a timing chain, not a belt so I don't know how good of a mechanic this guy is if he thinks you have a timing belt slipping!

the gears on the distributor wouldn't come out so i bought a new one and it fixed the prob...it was the pickup and pickup coil...thanks a lot!
