diablosport deltachip
i just got my first stang and i've been obsessesing about them for over ten years (i'm 20 now) its a black mint '95 GT 5 oh so anyways i'm not new to the stang scene but yeah now i got one, so anyways i was wondering if its worth buying a diablosport deltachip for bone stock and whether the performence changes and shifting points are extremely versus barely noticeable and if you should mod your rearend gears and underdrive pulleys before or after installing the chip and if you can even do that cause it seems that it may have been created for a stock mustang/ford car? anyways, anyfeedback or suggestions are greatly appreciated

RE: diablosport deltachip
For the money you'd spend on that chip, you could get some underdrive pulleys, or catback exhaust, or a CAI and you'd get a better performance for your buck upgrade.
Wait on the chip until you've done REAL upgrades to your car so the chip can compliment them, until then you'd be wasting you money, been there done that[:@]
I hope this helps

Personally, I think a chip upgrade is good to do first as the stock ECU setting are so conservative being aimed primarily at gas mileage and low emissions. A good chip can make a big difference as they are not worried about either of these, they just want to get maximum performance out of the engine. You will need to run premium high octane gas with any chip however, as they get some power by maximizing the timing throughout the rpm range so just be aware of this before you buy one.

thanks alot for the suggestions guys [sm=smiley14.gif], i think i might just go for the chip as a base along with subframe connectors, lower control arms and a posi just as a base to build on, then add a full exaust from CAI all the way to a cat back and go from there, does that sound like a good idea? my only question now is whether after the chip has been plugged into the ECU, will further mods mess with it or be a problem? whats the correct way to do this?

RE: diablosport deltachip
your Stang already has a posi, Ford calls their a traction lok, so unless it is bad, you don't need to install one. subframe connectors are also a good addition, you will be amazed how much less body roll you get with them and it will stiffen the chassis making it more responsive at the strip too. the chip will be OK until you change the MAF or injectors, then you will need to get new chip burned specifically for the changes. you can go for the chip and all the other stuff now with no worry about the chip.

RE: diablosport deltachip
chip might be ok... you should get some 3.73's or some 4.10's , thats the first and best thing you could do to a mustang... its so much cheaper for what you get! it feels like 50 horsepower alone, or close to

RE: diablosport deltachip
DONT go with a company like Diablosport...
If you're going to get a chip
Get one custom burned.
That can be REFLASHED to suit your next modifications...
Those diablo chips are a WASTE unless you're leaving it stock...
