whos got some pics of a turbo and just how do they work
Go here and scroll to the bottom. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/791057/10
There are (2) parts to a turbo. The turbine side and the compressor side. They both share a common shaft.Exhaust is what turns the turbine. A turbo uses exhaust flow to turn the turbines impeller/wheel and subsequantly turns the compressors impeller. The compressor sidetakes inair (like a superchager), compressing it, then passes it through an air-to-air intercoolerand forcing it into the intake.
A turbo uses uses exhaust to turn the turbo as opposed to a centrifigal or roots style supercharger that uses the crankshaft and belt to turn.

In regards to the ebay turbo kit, I came across that same kit on turbomustangs.com earlier today. A guy was installing the same exact kit and writing a review on in soon. I just cant find the exact page, but I figured I'd at least put that out there.

As of now the guy that doing the build up say's " the headers are the only thing that concerns him so far. The weld's are not the best in the world but could use minor touch up" As far as the turbo's he is taking them somewhere to get them inspected for quality. No report on that yet. I am going to follow this to seehowwell it goes.
